My partner and I enjoyed our stay for 4 nights. The room was cute, clean, and spacious, with a double bed and a comfy sofa. It was just a minute's walk to the tube and Portobello Market, which was super convenient. Plus, the self-check-in process was easy!

I loved the retro ambience and found the bed very comfortable during my one night stay. The apartment's proximity to Portobello Rd was a huge plus. The kitchen was well-appointed, stocked with spices, olive oil, and even tea. The addition of device chargers and capsule coffee was thoughtful and much appreciated. Communication with the manager was smooth and helpful, making check-in easy. On the downside, I did experience some noise from the kitchen door, which could wake light sleepers. Also, while it was noted that no pets are allowed, I encountered a small barking dog during my stay, which was unexpected and a bit distracting.

spacious room, character-filled building, effective self check-in
Automated pre-check-in felt excessive!!! No hot water due to boiler issues!!! Shared bathroom can lead to queues if property is full!!! Look elsewhere if you're not a fan of old buildings!!!

A balance of wins and fails
Location is unmatched, a quick walk to Ladbroke Grove Metro and close to the iconic Portobello Road Market. Self check-in was intuitive, making arrival a breeze.
A bit too warm without AC, making summer nights challenging.

My solo stay was enjoyable, despite a couple of hiccups. The retro ambiance made it cozy, and the spacious Deluxe Double Room offered comfort. Remember, the kitchen is off-limits overnight. plan ahead for snacks. Overall, a pleasant experience with a touch of character in a great location!

It was just an appropriate option for a quick break in London with good value for money. The staff addressed an unexpected boiler issue quickly and efficiently, which was impressive. Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper, as noise can travel between rooms.
